If you are serving or ex-serving ADF personnel, you can submit a claim to DVA using MyService. Begin by signing into myGov and click on the DVA linked service. From your homepage under services and benefits, click Apply Now. You'll be directed to a page of claims and applications. This page will only show the claim types that match your circumstances based on the information we have about you. Find the claim you wish to make and ensure you are familiar with any required supporting documentation. For example, in this video we go to show you how to make an Initial Liability Claim. When completing the Initial Liability Claim, documents you may need include information about your medical condition or conditions, your doctor's details, any medical reports from your doctor, information about your service relevant to the onset of the condition you are claiming. supporting documentation, like incident reports or training programs and claims representation details if applicable to you. Work through the form, take your time and answer each question as best you can, and if you don't have all the documentation you need with you or you just need to take a break, you can always save and exit and complete it later. Finally, review your claim details and submit the online form. If we need more information from you, we will call you. If you prefer to submit a claim in person, you can visit a Veteran's Access Network office. Alternatively, you can seek help from an advocate at no cost. Advocates are volunteers trained to help you access your services and payments through MyService. You can find one by searching the Accredited Advocate Register. If you want to find out more about submitting claims, we have detailed user guides on our website. Just follow the link below. We're here to support you.
