Men’s Health Week is recognised annually to encourage conversations about men’s health. This year’s theme is ‘Healthy Habits’, with the week running from 12-18 June.
Have you heard the saying, ‘health is your greatest wealth’? The good news is, it’s never too early, or too late to invest in your health; so this International Men’s Health Week make sure you take some time, to take care of your own health and wellbeing and decide what healthy habit you can start to lead a healthier life.
There are many ways you can make healthy habits to support your mental, social and physical health. For example, by participating in regular physical activity, eating a healthy, balanced diet, connecting with others, meditating, getting enough sleep, or even just by reading a book.
DVA recommends consulting your GP or health professional before making big life style changes like diet or exercise. So, if it’s been a while since you’ve seen your GP, why not make this Men’s Health week time to change that.
