How to request statements and letters in MyService

You can generate certain official statements and letters in MyService to confirm your DVA entitlements, e.g. for taxation and concession purposes. 

The statements and letters available for you in MyService are based on your personal eligibilities and entitlements. The available document types can include:

  • Statements of payment (e.g. statement of pension)
  • Letters for concession (e.g. Veteran Card confirmation)
  • Statement of income and assets
  • Medicare levy exemption certificate

You can either download or request to receive a copy via post of these statements and letters.

Note: To find how other correspondence from DVA is delivered to you, on the MyService home page select Correspondence to check your correspondence preference.

This guide includes images of sample screens. The screens do not contain information about any real DVA clients.

Step 1 – Select Correspondence

Sign in to MyService.

From your home page find the Your information section and select Correspondence.

Step 2 – Select Download or Post

On the Correspondence screen there will be a section titled Request official letters

The letters that will be listed for you in MyService are based on your personal eligibilities and entitlements.

Download a digital copy

Find your letter in the list. To download it in Portable Document Format (PDF) to your device for saving or printing, select Download

This will the save according to your device’s default download settings.

Request a physical copy

Otherwise, you can submit a request for us to mail a paper copy of this letter to you through the mail to your postal address by selecting Post.

To request letters not shown on MyService call us on 1800 VETERAN (1800 838 372) or email GeneralEnquiries@dva.gov.au.

Check your address is up to date

We recommend you check your registered postal address is up to date. You can do this by selecting the My details or registered postal address links on this screen.

If you need to change your details, enter your new address and select Submit.
