New online mental health programs tailored for veterans and families

Open Arms have launched two online mental health programs tailored for veterans and families.

These initiatives expand Open Arms’ digital mental health offerings, making it easier for veterans, their families and carers across Australia to access support no matter where they live.

Both programs are open to anyone over 18 years old in the veteran community.

Shoulder to Shoulder

In partnership with SANE Australia, Shoulder to Shoulder, offers two online forums:

Both forums are moderated by mental health professionals, accessible 24/7 on any smart device.

Anyone from the veteran community is welcome to join the forums and do not need to be a current Open Arms client.

Stronger we Stand

Veteran families and carers can access free online mental health workshops that aim to enhance their own mental health and wellbeing when supporting a loved one who is experiencing suicidal distress or have been bereaved by suicide.

Open Arms engaged Grand Pacific Health to deliver the Stronger we Stand online workshops, designed to help participants gain skills to strengthen coping abilities, reduce stress and isolation, and build meaningful connections with others.
